Road-test rental and warm-up

Use one of our maintained driving-school vehicles for your road test and complete a warm-up drive beforehand.

Lesson packages

Build your skills progressively with a 9-hour or 18-hour package. Book the included lessons individually as you go.

  • SkyTrain or eligible home-pickup options
  • 60- or 90-minute lesson formats
  • Package credit remains valid for one year

Our instructors follow ICBC’s Learn to Drive Smart and Tuning Up for Drivers material. The order and pace are adjusted to match each learner’s needs.

18-hour progression

Best suited to new drivers or students without regular access to a practice vehicle.

  3. Hazard perception
  4. Basic turning
  5. Advanced turning
  6. Lane changes
  7. Residential intersections
  8. Major and obscure intersections
  9. Vehicle checks and maintenance
  10. Straight backing
  11. Hill parking
  12. Turning around
  13. Reverse stall parking
  14. Forward stall parking
  15. Parallel parking
  16. Freeway driving
  17. Review
  18. Mock testing

This progression is a guide and will be tailored to the learner.

9-hour progression

Best suited to drivers with practice support or prior experience who want to sharpen their skills.

  1. Orientation and vehicle control
  2. Pulling over, turning, and hazard perception
  3. Major and minor intersections
  4. Straight backing and hill parking
  5. Turning around
  6. Reverse and forward stall parking
  7. Parallel parking
  8. Freeway driving
  9. Review and mock testing

This progression is a guide and will be tailored to the learner.

Planning aheadLesson availability is often tighter in spring and summer. ICBC road tests can also have a substantial backlog, so reserve your test with ICBC as early as practical.
